Saved-place cards
Saved places show the key weather values first: temperature, wind, gust, rain, humidity, cloud, and forecast status.
Professional Android weather app
A clean weather decision desk for people who need to check the right place, the right forecast window, and the right weather fields quickly.
Weather decision desk
Skydesk is for users who already understand weather enough to know what they want to inspect. The app opens around saved places called Beacons, so a depot, farm, work site, compartment, landing zone, yard, or home can be checked without hunting through a general weather feed.
Forecast view
Saved places show the key weather values first: temperature, wind, gust, rain, humidity, cloud, and forecast status.
The forecast starts from the current window, includes date and time, and keeps the field labels visible while users scroll across hours.
Rain, wind, cloud, and temperature graphs show the trends without forcing users through a wall of numbers.
Users can review short windows or longer outlooks, with graphs and tables adapting to the selected forecast length.
Beacons
Inside Skydesk, saved places are called Beacons. Users can create, edit, group, and review them through search, current GPS position, or a map picker, depending on how they want to define the place.
This keeps the app useful for repeat decisions: the same depot, site, farm, or operational location can be checked again and again with the fields and forecast view that suit that place.
Field control
A curated weather set for fast use: core weather values, clear forecast tables, and a focused graph set.
Professional users can choose the fields and graphs that matter for a particular Beacon.
Forecast cadence and forecast length are chosen per Beacon, so a quick view and a long-range review can both fit the work.
Last-good forecasts are kept available and clearly marked when they are cached, so the app stays useful when signal is poor.
Weather source
Skydesk uses NFI weather guidance to support clear, location-based forecast review. Forecast output in the app includes the required Northwood weather credit and a public weather attribution link.
Skydesk is not an official warning service. It is a professional weather review tool for users who need a practical view of changing weather at the places they care about.
In development
Northwood Skydesk is being built as a separate professional weather app from Northwood Beacon. Beacon remains the public everyday weather companion; Skydesk is the more direct weather desk for people who want fast access to the forecast detail.
