Weather source acknowledgements
Northwood Field Intelligence thanks the organisations whose weather, ocean, satellite, terrain, tide, and validation data make practical field intelligence possible.
Public thank-you
This page keeps Northwood's weather source acknowledgements in one public place. It is both a thank-you and a transparency record. Northwood products show processed guidance, not official provider guidance, and a source listed here does not imply provider endorsement.
Source transparency
Northwood apps use a simple credit: Weather by NFI Northwood Forecast Intelligence. That credit points back to this public record, where people can see the organisations and source families that help make the guidance possible.
Where a provider requires or recommends closer acknowledgement, Northwood will place that note near the relevant forecast, map, report, or weather output. This keeps everyday app screens clear without hiding the source trail.
Thank you

AVISO FES product pageDetailed source record
Some sources are used as forecast options, some as comparison or validation sources, and some are future source options. A listed source is used in Northwood output only when its licence, attribution, quota, coverage, decoding, and redistribution requirements are satisfied.
Primary forecast source option.

Closer attribution recommended when it contributes.Where credit appears
Every Northwood app using NFI should show the NFI credit and link to this page. Where a contributing source requires specific wording near the relevant weather output, export, or report, Northwood will show that wording there as well.
The default wording pattern is: Weather by NFI Northwood Forecast Intelligence. Source details: northwoodintel.com/weather-attributions/
Important notice
Source names are shown for acknowledgement and transparency. They do not imply that any source organisation participates in, sponsors, approves, endorses, or guarantees Northwood products or Northwood outputs.
Where a source requires exact wording, DOI references, product-level citation, update dates, change notices, or closer in-app/output wording, Northwood will apply that requirement before using the source in a public Northwood product. Northwood products are intended to present processed guidance rather than provider data files.
